Alison Sarah Michel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Edwin Michel of Lexington, Kentucky, and Daniel Brian Wrenne son of Mr. David Paul Wrenne IV of Niceville, Florida and Mrs. Dean Edward Ligon of Nashville, Tennessee, were married at half past six o’clock on May 14, 2011 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Lexington. The reception followed at Idle Hour Country Club. The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Michel of Huntington, West Virginia and the late Dr. and Mrs. Roy M. Waller, Jr. of Columbus, Georgia. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Paul F. Pancoast of Nashville, Tennessee and Mrs. David P. Wrenne III also of Nashville, and the late Mr. David P. Wrenne III. Elizabeth Van Slyke Higginbotham of Kansas City, Missouri and Kelli Busby Simpson of Cincinnati, Ohio served as Matrons of Honor. Bridesmaids were Nancy Marie Butkovich, Tyra Roberts Hendrickson, Ashley Anne Randolph and Nara de Sa van der Westhuyzen all of Lexington, and Laura Lamon Hilliard of Nashville, Tennessee, and Meghan Caye Turner of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. David Paul Wrenne IV served his son as Best Man. Groomsmen were David Manning Black, James Roy Coyle, James Leer Kay, James Edward Kerkhoff, Matthew Waller Michel, Aaron Tyler Smither all of Lexington and Mitchell Ryan Wrenne of Niceville, Florida. Ushers were Robert Thomas Murphy and Thomas Ryan O’Reel also of Lexington. The bride is a graduate of Lexington Catholic High School and Transylvania University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. She is a realtor with Turf Town Properties. The groom is a graduate of Woodford County High School and the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance. He is a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual. After a wedding trip to California, the couple will reside in Lexington.
