Emily Ann Furlow, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Terrance G. Furlow of Lexington, Kentucky and Tyrus Michael White, Junior, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tyrus Michael White, Senior of Huntsville, Alabama, were married on June 5, 2010 at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Lexington. The Reverend Robert Sessum officiated the ceremony. Music was provided by John Linker, organ, Debbie Jackson and Whit Whitaker, soloists, and Joseph Van Fleet, trumpet. The reception and dancing followed at the Embassy Suites. The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Capers Baker of Paducah, Kentucky and Elizabeth Fentress Furlow and the late Thomas W. Furlow, Senior of Texarkana, Arkansas. The groom is the grandson of the late Ty and Mildred White of Rockmart, Georgia and the late Fay and Edna Branch of Opelika, Alabama. Siobhan Byrns Furlow, sister-in-law of the bride, served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Kathryn Purple of Hanover, Maryland, Sarah Baker of Nashville, Tennessee, Gina Benedict of Knoxville, Tennessee, Lauren Murphy and Heather Bennett both of Lexington, Kentucky. Zoe Benedict of Knoxville,Tennessee, served as flower girl. Serving as Best Man was Tyrus Michael White, Senior, father of the groom. Groomsmen included Jason Daniel of Nashville, Tennessee, Travis Benedict of Knoxville, Tennessee, Mark Furlow of Georgetown, Kentucky, Stephen Furlow of Charleston, South Carolina and Chris Elliott of Madison, Alabama. Scriptures were read by Elliot McKee of Indianapolis, Indiana and Art Baker of Charlottesville, Virginia. Greeters were Anna McKee of Belleville, Illinois, Mary Baker of Paducah, Kentucky, and Allison Baker of Johnson City, Tennessee. Paul Baker of Nashville, Tennessee was crucifer. Chalice bearers were The Reverend Lauren Hendrick and Ray Larson both of Lexington, Kentucky. The bride is a graduate of Henry Clay High School, Rhodes College and the University of Kentucky School of Medicine. She is presently an internal medicine resident at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. The groom is a graduate of Grissom High School, Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He is presently a fellow in Hematology-Ocology at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.  Following a honeymoon to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Lexington.
