Miss Shelby Lynn Fancher and Mr. Travis Scott Johnson

Miss Shelby Lynn Fancher and Mr. Travis Scott Johnson were united in marriage on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at four o'clock in the afternoon at Chapel in The Woods in The Woodlands, Texas. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Roger Fancher, grandfather of the bride. Music for the ceremony was provided by Divisi Strings. The ceremony reading was performed by Mrs. Megan Johnson, sister-in-law of the groom. The bride's parents hosted a dinner and reception at The Woodlands Country Club. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Black Walnut Cafe in The Woodlands.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Powell Fancher of Keller, Texas (formerly of The Woodlands). She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Grant of Kingsville, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Fancher of Lufkin, Texas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Johnson of Cedar Park, Texas. He is the grandson of Mrs. Marlene Schofer of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Mrs. Arlene Johnson and the late Mr. Frank Johnson of Port Byron, Illinois. Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a fit-and-flare Martina Liana gown of ivory beaded lace over satin. The gown featured off-the-shoulder straps over a sweetheart neckline with a lace illusion back and a chapel train with scalloped lace edging. The gown was complemented by a fingertip veil by Westwood and beaded sash by Blossom Veils. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of spray roses and ranunculus and a handkerchief made from her mother's wedding gown. Mrs. Caroline Warren served as Matron of Honor and Miss Courtney Orr served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included Miss Nikki Brubaker, Miss Katie Crouch, Miss Bonner Ercums, Miss Michelle Noto, Miss Reese Roberts, and Miss Emily Valenta. The bridesmaids wore floor-length gowns in lilac chiffon. Each carried a hand-tied bouquet of blush spray roses. The House Party included Miss Amy Albers, Miss Katie Day, Miss Corinne Queenan, Miss Kendall Schatzle, and Miss Megan Senger. The flower girls were Miss Ella Dearmore and Miss Sophia Green.Mr. Zach Johnson, brother of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Mr. Josh Beller, Mr. Carson Brickey, Mr. Aaron De Leon, Mr. Brett Felton, Mr. Tommy Schofer, Mr. James Warren, and Mr. Tanner Worley. Ushers included Mr. Cameron Merriman, Mr. Preston Merriman, Mr. Ben Rhoden, Mr. Jon Rhoden, Mr. Bryce Roberts, and Mr. Ian Schofer. The ring bearer was Mr. Charlie Gilmore.The bride is a graduate of The Woodlands High School. She graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering in May of 2014. She currently works for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in The Woodlands. The groom is a graduate of Cedar Park High School. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Finance in May of 2015. He currently works for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Houston.Since their honeymoon in St. Lucia, Shelby and Travis have resided in Houston, Texas.
