Dunn - Goodspeed Wedding

Miss Ashley Patton Dunn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Craig Dunn of Lexington, Kentucky, and Mr. Matthew Luke Goodspeed, son of Dr. and Mrs. David Clifton Goodspeed of Madison, Wisconsin, were married at half past five o'clock on October 15, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Lexington. Bishop Lindsey Davis officiated the ceremony. A reception followed at Lexington Country Club. Jennifer Dunn Rowe of Lexington, Kentucky served her sister as Matron of Honor while Caroline Blair Dunn of Washington, D.C. served her sister as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Morgan Goodspeed Ratner, sister of the groom, and Katelyn Elizabeth Conner, cousin of the bride, both of Washington, D.C. The best girls included Courtney Layne Barker, Melissa Kessinger Brewer, Pamela Ashley Louise Brown, Sara Elizabeth Dunigan, Elizabeth Jones Hardwick, Grace White Nielsen, Caroline Comley Sanford, Caroline Shanklin Sawyer, Laura Gail Smith, and Whitney Headlee VanMeter. Flower girl was Emily Katherine Rowe, niece of the bride, of Lexington, Kentucky. Mr. Adam John Goodspeed, of Washington, D.C., and Mr. Michael Josiah Goodspeed, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, served their brother as the Best Men. Groomsmen were Dr. David Clifton Goodspeed, father of the groom, and Mr. Peter Slatin Ratner, brother-in-law of the groom. Ushers included Charles Alexander Bird, Stephen Wright Douglas, Matthew Paul Hendrickson, Adam Alexander Kost, Christopher Fares Lahoud, Michael Christopher Nekus, Christopher Andrew Nicoletti, Patrick Howard VanMeter, Colin Vint, and Mark Anthony Waskewich. Ring bearer was John Thomas Rowe, nephew of the bride, Lexington, Kentucky. Scriptures were read by Rhonda Jo Conner, aunt of the bride, of Louisville, Kentucky, Carolyn Blair Currier, grandmother of the bride, of Salisbury, Maryland, and Joan Goodspeed Haase, grandmother of the groom, of Presque Isle, Wisconsin. The bride is a native of Lexington, Kentucky and a graduate of Henry Clay High School. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy at the University of Mississippi and completed the Graduated School of Banking program at Louisiana State University. She is a Banker Associate at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. The groom attended Hershey High School in Pennsylvania before graduating summa cum laude from the University of Richmond with a degree in Economics and Finance. While at University of Richmond, Matt played four years of varsity on the men's soccer team. He is a Vice President at J.P. Morgan Private Bank serving as an Investment Specialist. After a wedding trip to St. Barth's, the couple will reside in Washington, D.C.
