Tamplin-Graves Wedding

Julianne Robbins Tamplin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Richard Tamplin of Newnan, Georgia, and Guy Milwee Graves, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Milwee Graves, Sr. of Lexington, were married on May 14, 2016 at Mountaintop Golf Club in Cashiers, North Carolina. The ceremony was held at 'The Overlook' and was officiated by The Reverend Robert Lee Sessum, Rector Emeritus of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Lexington. Dinner and dancing followed the ceremony at the Mountaintop Clubhouse Pavilion. The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edsel Robbins of Calhoun, Georgia, Evelyn Baxter Tamplin of Carrollton, Georgia and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Arthur Tamplin. The groom is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Clinton Ray Potts of Louisville and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Blackwell Graves, Sr. of Lexington and Naples, Florida. Sarah Tamplin Hagler, sister of the bride, was Matron of Honor. Jillian Tamplin Suggs, cousin of the bride, and Kathryn Terrell Graves, sister of the groom, were bridesmaids. Guy Milwee Graves, Sr., father of the groom, was Best Man. Nicholas Bowman Graves, brother of the groom, and Courtland Hunt Leer were groomsmen. Preston Howard Hagler, brother-in-law of the bride, was an usher. The bride is a graduate of Newnan High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance from the Terry College of Business, University of Georgia. She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority, Gamma Iota Sigma and the Insurance Society. She is employed as a Vice-President for J.Smith Lanier and Co, a Marsh & McLennan Agency. The groom is a graduate of Sayre School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in History from Davidson College where he was President of Kappa Alpha. He also earned a Master's Degree in City and Regional Planning from Clemson University. He is employed as a Senior Project Manager, Retail-Commercial Development for Electric Cities of Georgia. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Dominica, West Indies and make their home in Atlanta, Georgia.
