Margaret Ann Potts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson Potts of Lexington, and Lev Alexander Orlov, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Pavel Orlov of Lexington, were married on June 10, 2017 at Second Presbyterian Church in Lexington. The ceremony was co-officiated by Reverend David James Holden and Rabbi Simone Schicker. Dinner and dancing followed the ceremony at the Lexington Country Club.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kaufman of Louisville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Glendon Potts of Ohio County.
The groom is the grandson of Mr. Mark Orlov and the late Mrs. Anna Orlov of Lexington and Mrs. Elizaveta Sheftel and the late Mr. Paul Sheftel of Lexington.
Jacqueline Beck was Maid of Honor, and Melissa Asfahl, cousin of the bride, was Matron of Honor. The Bridesmaids were Gera de Villiers, Rachel Heller, Julia le Roux, and Nora Simon. The Flower Girls were Channing and Chloe Asfahl, nieces of the bride. The mother of the bride was escorted by her nephew Jeffrey Asfahl.
Kevin Mehr and Jacob Rosenberg were Best Men. The Groomsmen were Nathan Braune, John Gerughty, Dr. Thomas Muse, Victor Orlov, brother of the groom, David Roth and Jason Walter. The Ushers were Jordan Alterbaum, Stephen Hill, Andrew Jarrells, Blake Morris, Michael Schenck, and Christopher Steinke. The Ring Bearers were Yoseph and Aaron Orlov, nephews of the groom.
The bride is a graduate of Henry Clay High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Financial Economics from Centre College. She was a member of Tri Delta Sorority. She is employed as a Registered Client Service Associate at UBS Financial Services in Cincinnati, OH.
The groom is a graduate of Henry Clay High School and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Economics. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He serves as the Acquisition Associate for Viking Partners in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The couple honeymooned in Greece and Italy and now reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.
